Small school in a big city leaving all of my friends for a better education or big school in a small city for a lesser education with all of my friends?

Better Education, if they are real friends they'll understand and remain your friends, plus you'll probably make new ones

all of your friends might also be getting out of dodge too---and you will make new friends at college anyways (as the poster above me said).....
in this economy, you need every advantage you can get---go for the best education you can get now, it will help you in the long run. (and if your old friends are really friends they will be there for you during breaks and stuff)

University these days is mostly unnecessary - as people really want experience. If I could do it all over again, I'd have picked a uni where more friends went - because while making new friends is cool and all, everyone I know had a much more enjoyable time.

Depends on yourself really, if you're close friends it should be okay - and you could meet some awesome people by moving.
